With so much going on in our busy lives its hard not to have a head full of clutter. Getting up for the morning rituals with kids, making lunches, having breakfast, getting dressed, breaking up fights, then going to work or doing house duties, commuting, road rages, nasty boss, rude customers, spilling coffee on your crisp, pristine white blouse, bills in the mail, fines to pay, premenstrual tension, running errands, scrubbing toilets, washing, hanging, folding, washing ,hanging, folding, washing, hanging, folding, blah, blah, blah. It all never seems to end, just another groundhog day.

Also having a lot of clutter in and around the home can also make you feel, closed in, smothered or annoyed as things get in the way, your tripping over stuff, you cant find what you’re looking for, everything is unorganized and all this destruction and chaos is also affecting the mind. A chaotic home environment contributes to a chaotic mind. So where to start!

Cleaning out the home- If you really want to start healing and finding true happiness clean up your home. You will find once your environment is clean and tidy your mind will feel a lot clearer to concentrate on working on your mind and inner self. Clean out your cupboards, throw away clothes you haven’t worn in a year and give to charity. Also, do the same with kitchen cupboards and linen closet. Put things in storage containers and label them. Doing a little each day can help. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to get it done quickly. Maybe aim for one thing a day, one cupboard or one box etc.

Cleaning out the mind- A great start would be meditation. I talk about this quite a bit as it has helped me. Meditation helps with learning to live in the present moment, resistance to reacting, keeping calm, focus and more. Everyone is different so everyone will have their own version. If or your a newbie just start with 10min in the morning before you start the day. Sit in a quiet place and just focus on your breath, not about all the things you have to do that day, just breathe.


Daily Affirmations- Every thought you think and every word you speak is an affirmation. You are affirming and creating your life experiences with every word and every thought. Paying attention to your thoughts is crucial in eliminating bad or negative experiences you don’t want in your life. The more you choose to think positive thoughts of love, kindness, and happiness the faster the affirmations will flourish. So focus on more positive affirmations and the negative will slowly fade away creating a happier more fulfilling life.
